In mid‑July 2025, WeTransfer updated its Terms of Service in a way that users interpreted as granting rights for WeTransfer to use content for AI training. Facing strong backlash, the company quickly revised the language: it now removes all references to machine learning and emphasizes that user content will not be used to train AI models or be shared with third parties.
